Teen pregnancy prevention for youth in foster care

This funded project by the Office of Adolescent Health, provides a medical home and pregnancy prevention to youth ages 13  to 17 entering foster care in  St. Louis City and County . All youth will receive  a comprehensive health assessment and  care  in a medical home.  In addition youth will have access to the mental health and case management services at The SPOT (a unique community based youth health clinic). The project will  also  implement an evidence-based intervention (Safer Sex).  The project aims to enhance medical care, decrease risky sexual behaviors and prevent pregnancy in a population with prior maltreatment.
