Needs assessment for victims of sexual assault who have developmental disabilities

This 12-month study will assess the incidence of sexual assault amongst individuals with developmental disabilities. Additionally, this study will examine the quality of services provided, the cost-effectiveness of such services, and the resource needs of the caregivers, families, and agencies that support and serve persons with developmental disabilities when sexual assault has occurred. The study aims to develop an evidenced based direct practice resource guide for agencies that are affiliated with the Productive Living Board of St. Louis County Citizen with Developmental Disabilities as well as strategic recommendations that will improve the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse/assault of people with developmental disabilities.
