Teen pregnancy prevention for youth in foster care

This funded project by the Office of Adolescent Health, provides a medical home and pregnancy prevention to youth ages 13 to 17 entering foster care in St. Louis City and County . All youth will receive a comprehensive health assessment and care in a medical home. In addition youth will have access to the mental health and case management services at The SPOT (a unique community based youth health clinic). The project will also implement an evidence-based intervention (Safer Sex). The project aims to enhance medical care, decrease risky sexual behaviors and prevent pregnancy in a population with prior maltreatment.
